Android‘s official GIT repository has been updated with new code for Android 2.0; the early Donut release is available to developers. It includes many new features including

- Multi-touch support
- Gesture support
- CDMA support
- Universal search
- Text-to-speech
- Automated backups

XDA’s Cyanogen has already compiled a build ROM of the Donut release, which you can flash your G1 with.
