How to Delete your Facebook Account
If you are worried about Facebook screwing around with your privacy, here’s how you can deactivate or delete your Facebook account. It’s actually very simple but since most Facebook users still can’t find it, I am posting a tutorial.
How to Deactivate your Facebook Account?
Just log in to your Facebook Account and go to Account > Account Settings.
Click on the Deactivate Account button or go directly to http://www.facebook.com/deactivate.php
In its desperate bid to keep you on Facebook and make you keep playing retarded games like Farmville, Facebook will list some of your friends who will miss you alongwith their tagged pics. Don’t fall for that. It’s a trap! Your friends probably don’t even know you are on Facebook. In any case, you can also maintain contact with them through other channels if they are your friends IRL. Just select any reason and click on Deactivate My Account.
Deactivating your account will still not delete your private data from Facebook. Facebook keeps it in case you change your mind and want to reactivate your account. To purge all your data from Facebook’s servers, you have to delete your account.
How to Delete your Facebook Account Permanently?
To delete your Facebook account, just go to this link – Facebook Help Center – Delete Account
And click on the Submit button. Your account will be permanently deleted alongwith your data in 14 days.
