How To Mod Sony PSP 3000 – ChickHEN + CFWEnabler
How to Install Games on your PSP
-
There are two ways to install games on your Sony PSP (Play Station Portable).
The legit way is to buy original UMDs and insert them in your PSP and game on.
For the not-so-affluent, you can install Custom Firmware (CFW) on your PSP and then download games off the internet and copy them to your PSP and play them.
Play ISO / CSO Games on your PSP
-
1. Install Custom Firmware:
- There are scores of tutorials on the net on how to do this. The easier way out would be to go to any console shop, and get your PSP modded with CFW for around Rs. 200 / $5.
- A detailed tutorial on this coming up soon.
2. Download the Game ISO / CSO.
- Next, search for the game you want, and download the ISO / CSO of the game from torrent sites or any warez forums. Most of the times, the ISO / CSO is compressed into a RAR file so you will need to extract it first using WINRAR.
3. Copy the ISO / CSO to your PSP
- Connect the PSP to your computer using the data cable and goto Settings > USB Connection.
- Open your PSP drive in My Computer, and goto the ISO folder. If it isn’t there already, create a new folder and rename it to ISO.
- Copy your ISO or CSO files to the ISO folder and disconnect your PSP from the computer.
4. Play the Game on your PSP
- Goto the GAME icon > Memory Stick and select the Game you just copied. Press ‘X‘ and game on. 
Note:
1. You need to have CFW (Custom Firmware) installed in order to use ISO / CSO games on your PSP. The latest version of CFW is 5.00 M33-4.
2. The latest PSP 2004 with TA 088 v3 chips and the PSP 3000 aren’t moddable yet.

Hi. At last of your blog – r u saying that custom firmware CFW(degrading to old version) is not possible for PSP 3000?
At top of the blog you discussed this technique for psp with UMD that is for psp3000.

You can’t flash any PSP 3000 or the newer 2000s with CFW yet. The first way is the official one.

You can get the whole list of PSP UMDs on the Sony India site. The approx cost per game is around 900 bucks.

Yea, the PSP 3000 has been modded AFAIK. The PSP Go is going to launch soon, so you may want to wait.

ok i finally got modded psp 3004. Its hackable by chicken method. My cfw is 5.03 m33-6. The only disadvantage is that the hack goes away if psp is shutdown. So its better to keep it in sleep mode. Anyways, can u suggest me some good plugins?

GUYS ALL OF U WHO WANT THIER PSP 3004 HACKED……have A GOOD NEWS….PSP 3004 is hackable and is very easy….i boguth a psp on my 14th b’day told dad to give it to me…so i went to palika bazar in new delhi….they gave me psp 3004 and asked whther u want m.stick or not…to which i replied that yes obviosly..as it was diwali tym they gave me a scheme …they told me that u buy 8GB m.stick pro dua at RS. 1200 and u’ll get 14 games free of ur choice,,,,then they shoed me a printout of 1000′s of games(dude i was flying on air) i selected many like fifa 10 god of war metal gear etc.etc. so they took my psp and put sumhin called CHIK HEN r2 (or sumthin like that) and gave it to my …my psp is 4 months old and it rocks WOOOHOO…so u guys can also go to sum popular bazar or market in bang or mum…..im really happy
