I had appeared for the MSP written exam on the Oct 19 and the subsequent GD on the same day. Got a mail that I was selected as a MSP on Oct 31. Now a couple of days back, I got the confirmation letter and now I am officially a MSP – Microsoft Student Partner. Woohoo!
As of now, I am on a 3 month probation period during which they will monitor my activities and then decide whether or not to make me a permanent MSP. I sure hope I can make it. It is a good learning experience, I get to interact with other techies, attend Microsoft sessions and bootcamps, and also a load of goodies from Microsoft. An added advantage is that I now have a high chance of bagging a Microsoft internship, and if I do well as an MSP, maybe even a job at MS.

You are on a 3 month probation period. Anything you say during this period will be held against you in the court of law.
We will be monitoring your activities on a 24 hour basis (By accepting the MSP student agreement, you grant us full authority to invade your privacy).
Thank you for your interest in Microsoft.
