Finally a super cool launch after a long time. Sony has finally officially announced the new PSP 3000 in India, an upgrade over the older PSP 2000. It is a slim and light device that will include a built-in microphone and enhanced screen for better display capabilities.

The PSP 3000 is fully backward compatible with the older version, with the newer display having a wider color gamut and being non reflective. It also features five times the contrast ratio and quicker response times than the old PSP display, making the colors look richer and vibrant than the previous generation. Ghosting and blurring has also been noticeably reduced. Movie watching should be a pleasure on the new PSP 3000.

The better display is very efficient and reduces the battery life by just about 20 mins. The PSP-3000 measures 69.4 x 18.6 x 71.4 mm and weighs 189 gms. It would be equipped with 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo that store more photos, music, videos, downloadable games and game saves.

It should be available for around Rs. 9,440. Add 500 bucks more for the software mod and you have the best VFM gaming device ever. :D

This is definitely going to be my next buy, will get it in the coming vacations.  Wooohoooo!! :D
