The Cyanogen Mod 7 nightly builds (Android 2.3 Gingerbread) are out for many devices. In this tutorial, I will explain how you can install Android 2.3 Gingerbread on the HTC Desire Z.
How to Install Android 2.3 Gingerbread on HTC Desire Z / T-Mobile G2
Make sure that your HTC Desire Z is rooted. Install ROM Manager on it from the Android Market.
Flash Clockwork Mod Recovery (3.0+) to create a recovery image and also take a backup of the existing ROM. Download it from here if you don’t have it.
Download the Cyanogen Mod 7 Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM for HTC Vision (Desire Z / G2)
Copy it to your SD Card, then start ROM Manager and select Install ROM from SD card. Wipe Data and Cache.
Your phone should reboot in a few minutes and you should see Android 2.3 Gingerbread running on your HTC Desire Z or T-Mobile G2.

Or
Download the CM7 Android 2.3 Gingerbread Build for Samsung Spica RC0
Copy the ROM to SD card and reboot your Spica in the Recovery mode.
Select Apply ZIP from SD Card and Wipe Data and Cache to flash the CM7 Android 2.3 build on your Samsung Spica.
Your phone will reboot and in a few minutes, the Samsung Spica should be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Install Android 2.3 Gingerbread on HTC Legend
Upgrade HTC Legend to Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Android 2.3 Gingerbread was launched quite some time back and most new phones already have unofficial Android 2.3 ROMs available.
The HTC Legend also has a Gingerbread ROM now – Cyanogen Mod 7. It’s experimental though and a bit buggy. So try it at your own risk.
1. Go to Android Market and download ROM Manager. You need Root access to install ROMs using ROM Manager, so make sure that your HTC Legend is rooted
2. Launch ROM Manager and select Flash Clockwork Mod Recovery to install the recovery image. Take a backup of your current ROM
3. Download the Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM for HTC Legend
4. Copy the ROM to your phone’s SD card, and go to ROM Manager and Install ROM from SD card. Select the ROM you want to install – Cyanogen Mod 7 Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM for HTC Legend.

How To Install Android 2.3 Gingerbread on HTC Desire
1. Download the Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM for HTC Desire
Download the Oxygen 2.0 Gingerbread ROM for HTC Desire
2. Copy the Android 2.3 ROM to your SD card and insert into your HTC Desire
3. Reboot the HTC Desire in the Recovery mode and select the Wipe Data and Cache option. Alternatively, you could also download ROM Manager from the Android Market and install the ROM using it. Just start ROM Manager and select Install ROM from SD Card.
4. Install the Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM from your SD card and restart.
You should now have Android 2.3 Gingerbread running on your HTC Desire.

1. Download Android 2.3 Gingerbread for HTC Droid Eris
Download the kaosgingerbread-v6.zip ROM
2. Copy the Android 2.3 ROM to your SD card and insert into your HTC Droid Eris
3. Reboot the HTC Droid Eris in the Recovery mode and select the Wipe Data and Cache option.
Alternatively, you could also download ROM Manager from the Android Market and install the ROM using it. Just start ROM Manager and select Install ROM from SD Card.
4. Apply and install the Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM and restart.
You should now have Android 2.3 Gingerbread running on your HTC Droid Eris.
