Most ebooks are available only in the PDF format. However most new ebook readers as well as Apple’s iBooks application for the iPad support the EPUB open ebook standard.

This tutorial will explain how you can convert your PDF files to the EPUB (iPhone, iPad) format.

To convert PDF to EPUB, you can use a free application called Calibre. Just download Calibre from here - Calibre Download and install it.

Calibre is an ebook management tool used to manage your book collection and to convert it to your device’s supported formats. It supports many devices like the Kindle, iPad, Nook etc.

Select the device you have, in this case, Apple > iPhone/iTouch.

At the main interface, click on Add Books and browse to the PDF you want to convert.

Right click on the PDF book in the Calibre interface and click on Convert eBooks > Convert Individually. Add any meta information if you want to.

The EPUB will be saved in the Calibre Library folder you specified earlier. Just transfer the EPUB book to your iPhone / iPad using iTunes.

Just 3 months after the release of T Mobile’s G1, the first Android phone, there are already reports that there is another phone – the Android G2 in the making.

There are reports all over the web that the new Android G2 will be launched on 26th Jan 2009 and will sport a whole set of new features. – (Source: CellPhone Signal)

The new Android is more iPhone-esque – a Full Touch Device with no QWERTY keypad, a Trackball, a 5 MP cam. Most probably it won’t even be a T Mobile exclusive. With all that power under its hood and the improvements listed in the Android Cupcake, it is sure to kick some iPhone and Touch HD a$$.

The guys at Boy Genius confirm most of that information but say that it should release only by April 2009. I sure hope that it does release ASAP, more delay would only mean more confusion regarding my next gadget buy.
