What is it?

The Nokia Developer Conference 2009 is a movement by Forum Nokia to share and demonstrate the technological advancements & opportunities in the field of Mobile Value Added Services.

Why should it interest me?

If you are a mobile application / game developer, or your business is centred around the growing mobile industry or even if you are just plain interested in Mobile technology, you shouldn’t miss the Nokia Devcon 09. Now with Google selling the unlocked G1 for $399, the Kogan Agora starting at just $190, the Nokia E63 launching soon, and the 5800 Xpress Music also coming in around Jan 2009, I am totally confused about which of these to go for.

Another gadget vying for my attention is the PSP 2001/ 3000.

Help me decide. I have 1 more month to go before my exams finish.

After days of speculation about Nokia‘s new announcement, finally the cat is out of the bag.

Nokia has unveiled the new Nokia N97, its flagship N Series model. It sports a huge 3.5 inch, 640 x 360 pixel display with a QWERTY keyboard, 32 GB onboard memory, a 5 MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, A-GPS and the latest version of the Symbian OS – an upgraded version of the 5800 XpressMusic‘s Symbian OS v9.4 S60 v5.

It is priced at EUR 550 and is expected to be available by Q2 2009. The days of the iPhone, Xperia X1, HTC Touch Pro surely seem numbered.

Finally!

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has been officially launched in India. It is Nokia’s first attempt at a full Touch device and has had superb reviews at Mobile-Review. It is supposed to kill the iPhone, the HTC Touch Diamond and the Blackberry Storm.
It has superb specs,  killer looks and loads of features.

From the looks of it, it can totally kick the iPhone’s a$$, atleast in terms of features and sales.

It is priced at just Rs. 21,000, compared to some outrageously priced smartphones (Read: iPhone, INNOV8, Xperia X1)

Have a nice look, it is most probably going to be Nokia’s next bestseller, and my next phone .
