Kogan Agora – The 2nd Android Phone

Mobiles, News 1 Comment »

Contrary to public expectations, the 2nd smartphone based on Google’s Android OS is not from Motorola or HTC as many thought it would be.

Rather, it comes from a relatively unknown Australian manufacturer – Kogan.

Kogan announced the Kogan Agora and the Kogan Agora Pro based on the Android OS.  Both the Agora and the Agora Pro feature 262K color QVGA touchscreen displays, QWERTY keyboards, quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G (HSDPA) support plus Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio and a microSD memory card slots. The Agora Pro will also add a 2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and a GPS receiver to the feature list.

The Kogan Agora costs $190 and the Kogan Agora Pro costs about $250. Sweet!
