Top 10 Animated Movies of All Time
Here’s a list of what I think are the top 10, best animated Hollywood films of all time. Though I haven’t included very old movies, just the new ones – those made in the last 10-20 years.

Great list. The ones I haven’t seen are Monsters Inc and How to Train a Dragon (will watch it when DvdRip comes out).
Also I think Fantastic Mr. Fox deserves a spot in the top 10.

Grave of the fireflies
This is possibly the saddest film ever made, Isao Takahata tells the story of two children who are orphaned during a fire-bombing raid. Rodger Ebert describes it as “an emotional experience so powerful that it forces a rethinking of animation.”
Triplets of Belleville
Is a bazaar adventure of an old lady, her young grandson, a humongous dog, and 3 old ladies who are improvisational Musicians and the Mafia. This Film hard to describe because it is so unique and original. Artwork and music are brilliant.
Persepolis –
The film follows the life of Satrapi, from just before the Islamic revolution in 1979 to her exile in Austria and then France. Drawing style is simple and minimalist, but the story is very deep and multi-layered. Persepholis won the Prix du Jury at Cannes. It ash also received accolades all over the world, with the possible exception of Iran.
The Secret of Kells
The story of the boy behind the famed Book of Kells who is befriended by faerie/wolf spirit. Nominated for this years’ Oscar yet very few people in north America have had a chance to see it as it was not picked up for a general theatrical run.
Ghost in the Shell
In this dystopian science fiction film, major Kusanagi, has had her organic body has been replaced by a robotic one owned by her employer. She is assigned to hunt down a criminal mastermind, that only seems to exist in cyberspace. The Wachowski brothers borrowed liberally from GitS when they made the matrix.
The Iron Giant
A boy makes friends with an innocent alien giant robot that a paranoid government agent wants to destroy.
Jan Švankmajer version of Alice
The creepiest, strangest version of Alice in Wonderland that you will ever see.
Fantastic Planet
It’s 37 years old but it’s still phantasmagorical as ever.
“Spirited away” to start but Anything by Hayao Miyazaki is good.
after all Miyazaki san is the god of animation.
Kirikou and the Sorceress
Charming. A depiction of Africa and Africans is dignified, not Disneyfied.
Worst ever animation — Doogal
Rating: Not appropriate for anyone.

Well, to be honest i became crazy about these animated flicks these days. I fell in love for the first time when I watched “The Lion King” some ten years ago. Then watched the toy story series, Shrek series, Ratatouille, Wall E , Up and now this ” How to train your dragon”. And the fun gets doubled now with the 3d effects incorporation.
